Despite the lawyer’s profession being rewarding and valuable, it is undeniable that stress management is a constant struggle for most of us. Between court appointments, drafting opinions and proceedings, homework, preparing supper for the children or caring for an elderly parent, it is clear that there is little time left to take care of us.
With all of these responsibilities, it's no wonder that many lawyers suffer from psychological distress or burnout. In addition, mental health issues represent a professional risk likely to lead to professional liability claims or proceedings. Also, based on several of the risk factors raised in the Étude des déterminants de la santé psychologique au travail chez les avocat(e)s québécois(es), this conference will explore avenues for reflection to help you cultivate your psychological well-being.
For in-class training, it is currently suspended for an indefinite period due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
